“I don’t even like calling it ‘human trafficking,’ I like calling it ‘little kids are being raped repeatedly right now, and that should break our hearts,’” -Francis Chan

Every time I hear/see Francis’s quote I cry. I love children so much that to see one of them hurt kills me…and to think about a child being raped repeatedly RIGHT NOW tears me up inside….and it should for you too.

Let’s be the church and change this! Its time for action!!!

Then what the bananas are we doing about it? Seriously. It’s all lovely to sit on Tumblr, reblog impacting photos, and say we want to be the change, but words are futile. Especially with these huge, heartbreaking topics such as sex slavery, orphans, and human trafficking.

Start by praying. Pray daily for the needs of others around you. Pray for hours. Pray until your voice is nothing but a husk of air. Pray until your knees are throbbing. Lift your hands until they ache, and the muscles wheeze with exhaustion.

Follow this by action. The Lord will lead you. Sometimes you will have to step out in faith. Start raising money, start donating to charities. Sacrifice your daily coffee run money to invest in a child who needs love, protection, and care.

I’m not necessarily saying that you need to go out, drop out of college, and become a missionary. But I am saying that we can make a difference. We are that difference. We are that change. Start putting it into action.

There is a time to read history and there is a time to make history! We live, right now, at one of those Epic moments in the fight for human freedom! -not for sale!
